bep Awarded Contract to Develop New Website for Erikson Institute - Project Aims to Improve Erikson Institute's Online Image and Usefulness.
Chicago, August 22, 2002 - bep Consulting, Inc. today announced that it has landed a contract to design, develop and implement a new site for Erkison Institute, a leader in higher education of child development professionals. The project calls for a re-architecture and redesign of Erkison's existing website with the goal of improving accessibility, brand image, and functional usability for several audiences. Behind the scenes the project demands a robust content management system with workflow automation and custom business rules.
Specific project objectives for Erikson's website include streamlining existing processes, such as accepting donations and event registration, allowing tuition payments, automating alumni administrative tasks, managing content, calendaring and providing online registration for new and existing students.
The new Erikson website is expected to launch in fall 2002, providing personalized information, e-commerce transactions, and dynamic information. bep will create a customized content management system (CMS), built on the framework of bep's proprietary CMS currently used by a long list of companies including Motorola. bep will also develop custom business objects to broker transactions between the web site and existing backend applications. bep was selected on the basis of past projects, superior results, and the existing proprietary bep CMS system.
