BrowserMedia Article on Struts/Tiles Open Source Framework Published in TheServerSide.com
Washington, DC, Friday April 11, 2003, BrowserMedia (www.browsermedia.com) an open source software development company, announced today that their CTO, Patrick Peak, has had an article on the Struts/Tiles open source framework published in TheServerSide.com. Entitled "Tiles 101/201", the article shows developers how to handle page layout and create an organized Struts-based application using the Tiles Framework. Divided into two sections, the article begins by explaining how to create a standard layout using tiles and expands to include the use of Tiles Controllers to improve the overall architecture of the application.
Written as a tutorial for developers with experience with Java/J2EE but limited knowledge of the Struts/Tiles, the article presents a balanced viewpoint that discusses the capabilities and limitations of the framework and teaches developers how best to leverage it. Patrick says he hopes the article will "Encourage Java developers to use the features inherent in Struts/Tiles to increase their productivity.".
